The reference age for women will not be adjusted until 2025. China: Simplification of the visa process The Chinese government has been working on simplifying the visa application process since October. In the meantime, it has also successfully implemented this in some countries. One part of the simplification is that people no longer must submit their visa application in person but can do so by post or online. In addition, the number of previous trips has been reduced, as has information on the level of education. Finally, the number of countries whose nationals can travel through without a visa for up to 6 days has been increased to 54 countries. These include 25 countries from the Schengen area, including Switzerland. Saudi Arabia: Significant reduction in fines for labour market violations Fines have been reduced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) by up to 90% in some cases. We have listed some of the adjusted fines below: Hiring a foreigner without a valid work permit: SAR 10'000 (approx. CHF 2'302 / approx. EUR 1946) Employment of a foreigner not in the specified job according to the work permit: SAR 300 to SAR 1,000 (approx. CHF 69 to CHF 230 / approx.
