The retirement age remains the same. This means that if a person has already reached retirement age but still wishes to work after this age, they will continue to pay AHV contributions until they reach the reference age. The reference age for women will not be adjusted until 2025. China: Simplification of the visa process The Chinese government has been working on simplifying the visa application process since October. In the meantime, it has also successfully implemented this in some countries. One part of the simplification is that people no longer must submit their visa application in person but can do so by post or online. In addition, the number of previous trips has been reduced, as has information on the level of education. Finally, the number of countries whose nationals can travel through without a visa for up to 6 days has been increased to 54 countries. These include 25 countries from the Schengen area, including Switzerland. Saudi Arabia: Significant reduction in fines for labour market violations Fines have been reduced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) by up to 90% in some cases. EUR 73 to EUR 243) Employment of a foreigner for a job for which only Saudi Arabian nationals may be employed: SAR 2,000 to SAR 8,000 (approx. CHF 460 to CHF 1,841 / approx.
