CH-EU-Ukraine / March 3, 2022 Border Opening for Ukraine and Sanctions against Russia In light of the latest developments in Ukraine regarding the Russian invasion, currently Poland (Schengen & EU member state), Hungary (Schengen & EU member state), Moldova (neither Schengen nor EU member state) and Romania (non-Schengen, but EU member state) have opened their borders to Ukrainian citizens. As of March 1, 2022, Ukraine has opened its borders to anyone who wants to fight against Russia.
